...to think that so soon after posting about Alfred Hitchcock, I came across this and missed including it, but I will add it now so you can watch a great interview with Tom Snyder on The Tomorrow Show from 1973. I remember as a kid my friends made fun of Tom Snyder, mainly doing bad Dan Ackroyd imitations from Saturday Night Live and not realizing what a truly great show he had then. Look at Letterman now, or Leno, or even Charlie Rose... Where are the unknown musical acts, or the dangerous guests? It's nothing like what Tom had going. I remember the John Lydon The Sex Pistols interview, Harlan Ellison, John Lennon, and Wendy O. Williams and the Plasmatics blowing shit up! I would get my mom to loan me money to buy an album of a band I had seen on Tom's show, or a book by an author he had interviewed.

Some people thought he was uptight, or too business, too much of a suit, too clueless to get what was going on, but I never thought that. He introduced me to a lot of cool stuff.

It's Alfred Hitchcock and Tom Snyder in six parts all ready for you to see.
